Lita-Luise Chappell (Soror Lutea) has been an O.T.O. member since 1991 e.v., and the Master of Golden Lotus Oasis since 1999 e.v. She is an E.G.C. priestess, a Bishop-Tau Luisa, a member of the U.S.G.L. Grand Tribunal, and a member of the Psychology Guild. She is a member and speaker of the Kaaba Colloquium and Pastoral Counseling teams. She has also spoken at NOTOcon and the Women's Symposium. She is a member of Proserpente Chapter in Orange County and of Babalon Chapter in Los Angeles County, where she serves as one of the Committee of Four. She has a Masters in Psychology with an emphasis in Health Education from the University for Humanistic Studies, San Diego; her doctorate is in human Sexuality from the Institute for the Advanced Study of Human Sexuality, San Francisco; and she is also a certified mind-Body Hypnotherapist, a Neuro-Linguistics Practitioner, a sexologist, sex educator, erotologist, and erotological appraiser. She is presently in private practice as a sex therapist in Orange County, California. She lives with her husband, Frater S.L.Q. in Laguna Hills, California.

 

Vere Chappell (Frater S.L.Q.) is a writer, photographer, and researcher specializing in sexuality and spirituality. He travels extensively, studying and documenting sacred sexuality in art, history, and culture around the world. He began studying and practicing magick over 25 years ago, and joined Ordo Templi Orientis in 1989 e.v. He currently serves as the international Treasurer General, and in various national offices including Bishop and SGIG, as well as being active locally at Golden Lotus Oasis and Star Sapphire Lodge. He has a doctoral degree in Human Sexuality and is the author of Sexual Outlaw, Erotic Mystic: The Essential Ida Craddock (Red Wheel/Weiser, 2010) and editor of Lunar and Sex Worship (Teitan Press, 2010). He lives in Southern California with his wife and priestess, Lita-Luise Chappell.

Introduction to Sex Magick, Vere Chappell

This class will explore the metaphysical, psychological, and physiological foundations of sex magic, with special attention paid to those aspects which are embedded in the initiatory and religious systems of the O.T.O., without breaking any oaths. In addition, there will be a discussion on practical considerations for successful operations in this mode of working. This class is limited to O.T.O. initiates of First Degree or higher. Cost: $20.00 for O.T.O. Initiates or $15.00 for Horizon dues paying members.

Erotic Art & Symbolism of Ancient Egypt, Lita Chappell

Ancient Egypt’s 18th through 21st Dynasties have been hailed as the most creative period of erotic art in all mediums; ranging from papyri, stele, bas relief and ostraca to stone architecture and statue to erotic poetry and cartoon. The more ecstatic postures of coitus to the more sublime erotic gestures will be investigated to discover the sublimity of erotic Egyptian art in form and word, and it’s creative symbolism. Cost: $20.00 for general public or $15.00 for Horizon dues paying members.

Reception/meet-and-greet. There will be hors d'oeuvres and a donation bar. This event is open to the public, attendance of classes is not required to attend this event.

The Magical Personality and the Black & White Mirror, Lita Chappell

The key to achieving the best magical result begins with the self. Through the process of Franz Barton's self-examination, by assigning an element to each personality trait, one can learn to balance those elements within. When one learns to control the elements within, one will be infinitely more prepared to deal with the elements without in all other magical workings. Cost: $20.00 for general public or $15.00 for Horizon dues paying members.

The theory of True Will, Thelemic doctrine and modern psychology, discovering your True Will - practical techniques for recognizing one's True Will and making it conscious, and doing your True Will - practical advice on what to do with it once you've found it. Cost: $20.00 for general public or $15.00 for Horizon dues paying members.
