Book of the Law and Crowley's Commentaries

Please bring a copy of The Book of the Law and Crowley's commentaries thereon. We usually make it through about five verses each time we meet. Each verse read is followed by reading all of the extant commentaries on it that Crowley wrote. Additional references to other pertinent writings by Crowley, along with some remarks on their history, may also be provided.

Facilitated by Br. Scott

One of Crowley's last comments upon Liber AL is as follows:

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

The study of this Book is forbidden. It is wise to destroy this copy after the first reading.

Whosoever disregards this does so at his own risk and peril. These are most dire.

Those who discuss the contents of this Book are to be shunned by all, as centres of pestilence.

All questions of the Law are to be decided only by appeal to my writings, each for himself.

There is no law beyond Do what thou wilt.

Love is the law, love under will.

With this comment in mind, please be advised that Horizon Oasis and O.T.O. fully support the idea that all questions of the Law are to decided only by each individual for him or herself, by appeal to Crowley's writings. Our objective in offering this series is to provide access to Crowley's writings pertinent to the various passages of The Book of the Law, not to provide alternative interpretations or commentary thereon.
